Ballet Noir Caroline Miller Books

Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. It's a very well-constructed novel, that's a love story and mystery encased in the world of ballet. The characters are believable and easy to relate to. The dialogue is convincing, and the descriptions of events and places are elegant. I loved all the mystical elements. The author provides convincing explanations for the supernatural happenings that can't help but make you a believer.

Ballet Noir Caroline Miller Books Reviews

Caroline Miller is a great storyteller. How does she come up with these ideas????? If you like chills up and down your spine, read this on a stormy night. You will enjoy it if you like Alfred Hitchcock or Twilight Zone type of stories.
Ballet Noir is beautiful and mysterious, with characters who stay with you long after you've turned the last page. Caroline Miller has penned another terrific book. Highly recommended reading.
Spooky, smart and wonderful. Pulse-pounding finale as a ballerina's excitement turns to horror as the voice of her dead teacher haunts her. Sharp realistic characterization in a suspenseful compelling page turner. Ms Miller is a new master of the Paranormal Gothic Romance.
This is an engaging paranormal romance made particularly interesting by its setting in a traveling ballet troop. The author deftly inserts the paranormal into the story with a dash of accurate scientific and historical fact. The effect is to make the story extraordinary believable and chilling. At times her images are startlingly fresh and perceptive as in "He gazed at me with an admiration that felt sticky." Miller is a master wordsmith. S.L. Stoner, author Sage Adair Historical Mysteries.
Ballet Noir is a delightfully spooky peek into the world of a prima ballerina and her company as they embark on a haunted European tour.

Tara Bentley becomes the unwitting pawn in a battle between the forces of good and evil when an anonymous benefactor finances her company's whirlwind tour through the great dance theaters of Europe. Tara's triumphant international debut as prima ballerina takes a frightening turn when she begins seeing and hearing ghosts. It then goes from bad to worse as she is drawn into the mysterious worlds of a necromancer and an alchemist. Worlds of darkness and magic in which one will save her and one will destroy her. But which one can she trust? Tara must decide before it is too late.
Experiencing her first tour in Europe, Tara Bentley is a young prima ballerina with a small Seattle dance company who watches her excitement turn to horror when she's haunted by the voice of her deceased dance teacher, Yelena Natilova. She fears she might be going mad until she meets a necromancer who assures her the voice is real. Is he a charlatan? Or, has he the power to guide her through this nightmare as she struggles to hold her career together? Their dash through the great theaters of Europe becomes the performance of a lifetime with death waiting in the wings. Another terrific read from the pen literary imagination of Caroline Miller, "Ballet Noir" is an original and compelling read that is consistently entertaining from beginning to end. Very highly recommended for community library collections and personal reading lists, "Ballet Noir" clearly demonstrates author Caroline Miller's impressive mastery of the Paranormal Goth Romance genre. -- Midwest Book Review
A ballet tour through Europe, a famous ballerina that has passed, and a former student of the deceased ballerina makes for an exciting read with the beautiful, descriptive writing of Caroline Miller.

Tagging along and traveling through Europe with the tour group was fun and exciting as we the readers learned about each city the ballet group stopped in.

Tara was the main character who kept seeing and hearing ghosts that turned out to be someone she knew.

The paranormal aspect of the book wasn’t a favorite because I usually do not read paranormal, but Ms. Miller's marvelous writing style and story line that included some romance took over, and the paranormal parts even though they were a large part of the storyline, didn't overpower the book.

If you enjoy traveling in Europe, a bit of romance, and paranormal, you will enjoy BALLET NOIR. 4/5

I received this book free of charge and without compensation by the author in return for an honest review.
